Church Farmhouse Museum

Introduction

Welcome to Church Farmhouse Museum’s virtual panoramic tour. Church Farmhouse was built around 1660, and was a working farm until the early 20th century. The last family to live here were the Dunlops (1870 – 1942), who were renowned for cattle breeding. The most famous person to live at the farm was Mark Lemon, co-founder of Punch, to whom there is a blue plaque.

In 1955 the house was opened as a museum by Hendon Borough. In this short tour are three rooms dressed as they would have been in the Victorian period. Much of the information in the tours is taken from the information boards dotted around these rooms. We hope you enjoy your visit.
